2023 Loyal to the Soil Cabernet Franc

This is a 100% single vineyard, estate grown wine from the north-facing, fog-cooled Lemmons' Vineyard.

The gravelly loamed soil, upturned by the neighboring Greenville fault, is well-draining and locks in only enough moisture to keep the vines alive. The science behind minerality is still not well understood, but we believe our soils naturally enhance the earthiness of Cabernet Franc.

Darcie and her family believe in creating a perfect match between terroir and varietal. Working side by side with their neighbors Tom and Paige Lemmons, Darcie and her family planted the site with Cabernet Franc, which winemakers, vintners, researchers and sommeliers declare is a perfect fit for our highlands terroir: well draining soils, sunny days and high winds.
