2022 Clone 30 Cabernet Sauvignon

As a rule of thumb, Cabernet Sauvignon wines are intense and bold. Wines made from the heritage clone “Clone 30” are exceptionally so. We harvest, barrel, and bottle clone specific wines so that we can become better acquainted with the unique personalities in our vineyards. Our Clone 30 is a chance to see the interplay between the “East Hill” and “West Hill” blocks coalescing in a single wine.  

Vibrant and focused aromas of black cherry and quince greet the nose. On the palate, notes of black plum and cherry interweave with hints of cocoa nib, fresh mint, and fennel. The 2022 vintage is rich in tannins, full bodied, and concentrated, a combination that suggests that this wine will age splendidly for the next decade or so.
