2018 Dog Day Cabernet Sauvignon

Dog Day Cabernet is sourced from four of the Kent family's estate vineyards: clay soiled, south facing sites planted to Clone 30, a high-quality heritage clone.

More than other sub-varieties of Cab, Clone 30 thrives in the heat and sunshine, just like the Kent family's beloved German Shepherd Bruno used to sunbathe during the dog days of summer. Bruno is pictured on the label.

In the Bordeaux tradition, one fifth of the blend is from our finest block of Merlot, an old vines vineyard known for giving opulent, juicy red fruit. This "right-bank" blend creates a wine that is both bold, velvety, and ready to please- just like our pups!

An impressive balance of juicy black fruit and warm baking spice aromas. The palate features a firm, back-palate of acidity, spicy tannins and creamy body.
